Police are investigating after a fire was believed to have been started deliberately at a 5G phone mast in Derbyshire during the early hours of the morning.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service called Derbyshire Constabulary shortly before 2am to report that they were dealing with a blaze at the mast in Scarborough Drive, Breadsall.

Attacks on 5G masts have been fuelled by a conspiracy theory wrongly linking 5G and coronavirus.

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference 20*261768.
